Privacy Policy - Metuka 💗
Last updated: June 21, 2026
Metuka is a gestational diabetes tracking app. Your medical data stays yours.
This policy applies to Metuka on all platforms: the website, the iPhone app (App Store), and the Android app (Google Play).
Who is responsible
Pesya Wenkert. Privacy contact: youroffice770@gmail.com.
What data we collect
Glucose readings (value, type, meal, time), food logs (text, meal labels, and a photo if you add one), notes, insulin if you log it, estimated due date, your name, your doctor's email, and app settings. Also your email address for account sign-in. If you use the chat with Metuka, your conversation messages are stored in your account too.
Where data is stored
On your device, and in your private account on Google Firebase. Only you can access your data - access is restricted to your account.
Third parties
Our main infrastructure provider is Google (Firebase: authentication, database, notifications). When you generate an English report, only the food text is sent to Google Cloud Translation for translation. If you use the chat with Metuka, your message content and a short summary of your relevant data (pregnancy week, targets, glucose trend, recent foods, and whether you log insulin - not the doses themselves) are sent to Anthropic, the company that runs the Claude AI model that writes the replies. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models, and retains it only for a limited time (see Anthropic's privacy policy). No ads, no tracking, no analytics, and we never sell your data. Your health data is never used or sold for advertising, insurance, or employment purposes.
The chat with Metuka
Metuka is an AI assistant for nutrition questions and general pregnancy support. She is a supportive companion, not a substitute for medical advice, and she does not give diagnoses, dosages, or treatment changes - for medical questions she refers you to your care provider. To give a relevant answer, your conversation and a short summary of your data are sent to Anthropic (see "Third parties"). You can delete the entire conversation by deleting your account.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, a notification identifier is stored to send you measurement and fasting reminders.
Deleting your data
You can delete individual readings inside the app. You can delete your account and all data via Settings > Delete Account. You can also request deletion via the account deletion page or contact us by email.
Changes
We will update this page if the policy changes.
